When we use "SJCS", or "us" or "we" in this notice, we mean St James’s Corporate Services Limited.

SJCS, as a Data Processor, is bound by the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (“GDPR”). You agree that we are entitled to obtain, use and process the information you provide to us, in order for us to carry out our normal business activities.

4.How we keep your information safe
We protect your information with security measures under the laws that apply and we meet international standards. We keep our computers, files and buildings secure.

5.How long we keep your information
We hold your information in order to meet our legal and regulatory obligations and/or to carry out our normal business activities, until such time as you are no longer a client or you unsubscribe from any of our distribution lists. We do not hold your information for longer than necessary.

6.How we use your information and why
For clients our lawful reason for processing personal information is legitimate interests and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations. For contacts on any of our distribution lists our lawful reason for processing personal information is legitimate interests. Under legitimate interests we may process your personal information if we have a genuine and legitimate reason and we are not harming any of your rights and interests.

7.Your information and third parties
Sometimes we share your information with third parties in order to carry out our normal business activities. We expect these third parties to have the same levels of information protection that we have.

Restricting and objecting: It is your right to lodge an objection to the processing of your personal data if you feel the “ground relating to your particular situation” applies. The only reason we will be able to deny your request is if we can show compelling legitimate grounds for the processing, which override your interest, rights and freedoms or the processing is for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Moving your information (your right to Portability): Where possible we can share a digital copy of your information directly with you or another organisation.
